Innovations

Together with the Schiffahrtskontor tom Wörden we steadily developed the fleet further and adapted to the requirements of our customers. The stanchion system, developed by Navalis, ensures securely stowed deck cargo and a larger transport volume.

Project development

Navalis Shipping develops projects both for its own use as well as for third parties. This reaches from the design stage to the actual delivery of the vessel.

Newbuldings are tested under various conditions to ensure the aimed efficiency as well as the ice class of the vessels. On this occasion the models are locally examined by ice tank tests and free water tests.

The technical expertise for this newbuilding project as well as the securing of financing is done by Schiffahrtskontor tom Wörden.

We are also active in the container segment, where new projects are being evaluated, newbuilding projects initiated as well as the sale and purchase of second hand tonnage organized. The market knowledge of Navalis Shipping is not only useful to the Navalis Group but to many other investors.

Environment and certificates

The requirements of flag states and port states as well as the customers for high environmental standards are constantly increasing. Therefore, Navalis Shipping is consistently engaged in an improved environmental performance of our fleet. Navalis Shipping is certified according to ISO 9001 (Quality management) and Schiffahrtskontor tom Wörden is certified according to ISO 14001 (environmental management).

The high requirements for efficiency are already taken into account when designing the vessel. In day-to-day operations, an environmentally friendly transport is ensured by e.g. installation of LED lamps, a heat recovery system and underwater paint reducing friction.
